BFBC is Amazing.

I had my first two daughters at a birth place out of state and wanted the same experience for my third baby. The prenatal care was great as each appointment time was taken to answer questions and address any concerns I had. I didn’t feel like just a number. They knew my name and had genuine conversations with me every visit. Labor and delivery were long, tough, and eventful, but the BFBC staff were ROCK STARS! Audrey was my hero as she had to make quick decisions when my little one got stuck during delivery. I 100% recommend BFBC to everyone contemplating a natural birth. A fabulous experience!

Love love love them!!

Had both my babies here, and if in the future a third comes along, I’ll be with Birthways! Very personal and makes you feel at home! Always encouraging and they actually genuinely care for everyone!

Birthways is not a 5 minute visit after a 30 minute wait

They really care about each person. Appointments are personal and private. Care here is individualized and everyone really works hard to make sure you feel at home. The facility is cozy and inviting. My husband and I wish we had found this place the day we found out we were pregnant. We’re not just a number here. There is no disconnect between the midwives and the front desk or the billing section. Everything here is connected! Best decision we’ve made so far in our pregnancy.

Our 2nd son was born at Birthways last week and it was an incredible experience.

My prenatal care was exceptional. I never felt awkward or rushed.  My son was born into a calm, loving environment and the midwives were so wonderful. They gave us space to labor unhindered but were there for us when we needed them. When things got intense and I experienced fear, they were calm and reassuring. I feel so blessed to have found Birthways and would 100% recommend them to anyone wanting a more natural birth option.

I could not have asked for a better birth experience.

As a first time mother, I was nervous about the unknown. Michaela, Lisa, and everyone else at BWs were wonderful. From start to finish, the care, education, responsiveness was great and they really encourage you to take your care/understanding of the birth process into your own hands by educating yourself and not let things just happen to you – it’s empowering. I do think some of the education classes could have been stronger but all in all, I am very happy with my experience there.

I had a pleasant experience at Birthways for my well-woman annual exam.

I felt that Cheryl was very friendly, professional, and thorough and the setting was very calm. I felt heard and valued as a person, not just a patient.

Midwives Model of Care™ Is Client-Centered

The Midwives Model of Care™ is a fundamentally different approach to pregnancy and childbirth than contemporary obstetrics. Midwifery care is uniquely nurturing, hands-on care before, during, and after birth. Midwives are health care professionals specializing in pregnancy and childbirth who develop a trusting relationship with their clients, which results in confident, supported labor and birth. While there are different types of midwives practicing in various settings, all midwives are trained to provide comprehensive prenatal care and education, guide labor and birth, address complications, and care for newborns. The Midwives Model of Care™ is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life events. The Midwives Model of Care includes:

• monitoring the physical, psychological and social well-being of the mother/birthing parent throughout the childbearing cycle
• providing the mother/birthing parent with individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support
• minimizing technological interventions and
• identifying and referring women/birthing people who require obstetrical attention.

The application of this model has been proven to reduce the incidence of birth injury, trauma, and cesarean section.
